Artist's Description

Frida Kahlo by Rafael Salazar
Artist from Colombia
Copyright 2018 - All rights reserved.

As she also painted using the Cubism style, I decided to apply it to her own portrait to celebrate her legacy.

Frida Kahlo de Rivera was a Mexican artist who painted many portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico. Wikipedia

I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best.
I tried to drown my sorrows, but the bastards learned how to swim, and now I am overwhelmed by this decent and good feeling.
Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly? Frida

An introspection of the artist's own mental and emotional processes when defining which type of Art most sincerely reflects his or her artistic personality. ~Rafael defies the assumption of his medium by employing techniques to push his images toward abstraction.~ He has always been ahead of the times...
