Description
Yellow hibiscus (Hibiscus brackenridgei) is a flowering shrub that grows on all the Hawaiian islands except Ni'ihau and Kaho'olawe.
All three subspecies of the yellow hibiscus are listed as endangered species.
Even in Hawaii, the plant is rare.
As rare as this species of Hibiscus, Rafael Salazar gives it his own special touch with a punch of dark red and yellow gradients in the middle.
Happy Colors from this Specimen of the State flower of Hawaii.
